Команда Ripple планирует продать треть своей доли в платежном сервисе MoneyGram.
По информации из отчета SEC известно, что Ripple владеет 8,6% акций MoneyGram — 6,22 млн. Дополнительно у калифорнийской финтех-компании есть расчет на покупку еще 5,95 акций.
Ripple намерена продать 4 млн акций. Это примерно 33,3% от ее доли в платежном сервисе, если учитывать представленные варрантами ценные бумаги. После продажи у компании останется 3,22 млн акций, соответствующих 4,44% доле в MoneyGram.
В 2019 году состоялась покупка Ripple доли в MoneyGram — компания приобрела акции по $4,10 за штуку. В настоящее время акции торгуются по $7,42. Продажа акций сулит значительную прибыль калифорнийской компании.
«Это исключительно хорошо продуманное финансовое решение о реализации некоторой прибыли от инвестиций Ripple в MGI. Это никоим образом не является отражением текущего статуса нашего партнерства», — заявили представители компании.
В Ripple отметили, что процесс продажи акций еще не завершен. В третьем квартале 2020 года MoneyGram получил $9,3 млн от Ripple.
