Промежуточное обновление должно повысить эффективность блокчейна Cardano и добавить новую функцию для блокировки токенов.
«В нашем случае «блокировка» — это резерв необходимого количества токенов на определенное время. Цель – ограничить их использование для различных целей:голосования или выполнения смарт-контрактов», — объяснил разработчик компании IOHK Кевин Хэммонд.
Не известна точная дата внедрения обновления. Но команда планирует, что активация Allegra в основной сети состоится в середине декабря.
Кроме того, Кевин Хэммонд также прокомментировал, хардфорки в сети Cardano происходят несколько иначе, по сравнению с большинством других блокчейнов.
Чтобы быстро и легко внедрить изменения, история предыдущих блоков сохраняется, а новая версия блокчейна получает новые характеристики.
«Мы не разделаем Cardano на две разные цепи, а комбинируем оригинальные блоки, работающие по текущим правилам, с новыми блоками, работающими по новым правилам», — говорит разработчик.
